A Day in the Snow

Gary had a few days off around Christmas so we decided to take advantage of the good weather one day and hit the hills. We have taken up snowshoeing the last couple of years as a family. We enjoy hiking so much and hated when winter came and we couldn't do it anymore. We bought snowshoes for all of us 2 winters ago and have really enjoyed them.
Sam is so cute in his. Since he wasn't even 3 years old when he got his, it has taken some practice for him to get used to walking in them. This year he's running in them and having a ball!


Sam thinks it's a lot easier going up the steep hill, than coming down!

I'm pretty sure for now he's not going to be a skier since he found it easier to come down the steep hill this way.....

So he's not a thrill seeker, and that's okay too! Alex had a great time as well. He loves to be outside. I think because he's been stuck in the house under quarantine, he's so happy to get out and see the real world. I strapped him on and we bundled and bundled. We bundled so much that by the top of the first hill, I was taking off coat and gloves. I was so hot with him on me, but at least he kept warm.

He stayed awake the whole time, kicking and talking, having a great time. The last two minutes were pretty hard to stay awake for though. He tried as hard as he could, but the sandman won!


It's so much fun spending time together with our sweet little boys!
